Creating another human being is an incredible thing, and it’s worth recording this amazing time in your life with professional images. Boudoir maternity photography is a fun way to celebrate all the changes that your body has gone through. A woman’s curves should be celebrated, particularly during pregnancy! Pictures of that beautiful baby bump will be fantastic reminder to you of the awesome journey that you have embarked on! And choosing to give the gift of a session to one of your pregnant girlfriends, is a wonderful and gratifying gift too. Helping a lady to see her beauty when she feels huge, can be a great present. Every woman deserves to feel breathtaking, even if she is about to give birth! This session was a gift from her generous sister, who even came in for her viewing and helped her purchase the lovely images from her shoot. Boudoir Photographer | Self Empowerment

I often hear that the reason why a gal is doing a boudoir photography session is simply for herself. Because she wants to. Because she can. Because she deserves to feel good about herself. Because she is marking a milestone in her life.

Boudoir photos don’t need to be a gift to anyone but your self. In a world that says you are not enough, a boudoir session can empower you and help you to see that you are more than enough. You are breathtaking and gorgeous and unique and worth celebrating. You boudoir images are the perfect way to remind yourself every day that you’re beautiful.

Mrs. W was fabulous to work with. She had been through a ton over the last few years, and was on a weight loss journey. Her trips to the gym and her devotion to the strict eating regime that her trainer has given her, gave her this amazing body and she needed to celebrate her achievement and give herself some love in the process. Being a mom and wife and working full time can take it’s toll on a gal, and she wanted to find the goddess within.

She came with some sweet lingerie, but she also showed up with one pretty blue dress as well. I encourage women to bring in one sexy dress so that we can get a few gorgeous head shots before we do the boudoir session. Who doesn’t need a new head shot. And while your husband cannot put a shot of you in your undies on his desk at work; he can have a stunning framed shot of you in a sultry gown adorning his work space.

Columbus Boudoir Photographer | Do a Boudoir Photo Session For Yourself

This beauty decided to celebrate her beauty just for herself. She now is in a serious relationship; but at the time she was a single gal. I applaud those who are allowing themselves to come in for a once in a lifetime experience without the excuse of giving an album to a spouse or significant other. I recently had an amazing client pick up her stunning album that she was about to gift to her husband as an anniversary gift. When she was leaving, she felt the need to confess that while she was using this as a gift; she had also done this for herself to build her own self esteem and to capture this moment in her life because she was aware of the fact that with each year she was getting older and finding it harder to feel great about her own body. I reassured her of the well researched fact that men are very attracted to confidence in a woman; and that, since doing her session had boosted her own confidence in her body and her sensuality, her boudoir photos had become a double gift to him in the end. And that she did not need to have a reason to do something wonderful for herself, anyway. As women, we struggle with guilt if we do things just for us. But we need to love ourselves first. That self love is important, because we can only love others when we take care of ourselves. So remember that you do not need a reason to do a boudoir photography session other than wanting to have gorgeous images of your self and to feel like a supermodel for the day. One of my favorite parts of the studio is that I still get to meet and get to know brides. I still get to hear all about the fun plans that ladies are making as they plan for their big day, and I get to be a part of that big day in a different way since I am no longer shooting weddings. It has become very common for ladies to give a boudoir book full of sexy pictures of themselves to the groom on the morning of the wedding. It is such a fun thing to do and it is a gift that he can open over and over again. My thanks to Ms.B for allowing me to share your gorgeous shots online.
